research motivations ::

I am interested in cultural evolution, cross-cultural musicology and multidimensional analysis of cultural phenomenon. Specifically in the cognitive psychology debate about WEIRD (Western Educated Indusrialized Rich and Democratic) vs non-WEIRD societies and the co-existence of egalitarian societies with hegemonic structures of power. I’m interested in using games and game theory as a method for gaining insight on social interactions. I believe in using bespoke crowd-sourced tools designed specifically for the research question and community at hand, along with dialog driven approaches to quantitative research.
